hi matthias, congratulations on your achievement on the PL mount adaptor. i am based in lagos, NIGERIA & i just got a 7D but no canon lenses yet bcos i am from a 35mm film background & i have all my cine lenses available ( ARRI primes & canon 50-300mm) so will the work with your PL adaptor. pls reply

  2. Matthias Matthias says:

If the collar of the PL mounts on your lenses is larger than 7.5 mm, the lenses will not fit mechanically. Most Zeiss lenses have a collar that is about 12-14 mm, so they won’t fit.

    Hi
I have a MBF Pl mount for canon 7D and I wish to know
how work when is mounted because lcd screen says that no lens is onside. Thank you to explain me how transmit data to camera that a pl mount can accept any lens
    best regards

    Hi Federico,

I’m not sure what you mean. On our 7 D, the display always warns that there should be a lens on the camera before entering “Movie mode”, but you can happily ignore it (you should have a lens on camera though). Ususally it helps to just hit the “Start” button.
