A while ago I came across the OpenMoco Project, while looking for a possibility to create timelapse video with my Nano dolly.
Over Christmas, I programmed a very simple and down to earth GUI using Delphi.
- Open Moco GUI
- Nano Motion Control Dolly
Features:
Program Control:
Start, Pause und Stop/Clear program
Motor Control:
With the buttons you can position the motors. You can change the number of steps per move (electronic gearing, sort of)
Set Program Data:
Camera:
Here, you can set different parameters of the camera, like interval and max shot count.
Motors:
You can program each of the three axis (eventually even four) here. You can set steps per move, max steps, directon and ramping.
There will be a lot more features in the next couple of days. I plan on integrating the complete Open moco functionality, quick programming, maybe joystick support (if I am really bored). Also, it will be possible to save the user and programm settings to disk.
I just haven’t had enough time to get everthing going yet. As soon as I get it done, I will post the software for everyone to download. If anyone cares to try it before that, please contact me.

Matthias – great work! Can’t wait until it’s ready to share.
Thanks for contributing to the project (and for finding that bug!)
