Instructions:
After launching the application, you will see the main view with the settings saved the last time the application has been used.
To enter a new date, time or location, tap on the “Info” Button in the lower right corner.

Sun Position Date & Time View
In this view, just use the date & time picker to select the date and/or time.
Enter the location coordinates in the text fields (positive values for North and East, negative values for East and South).
If your device is capable of using the Iphone/Ipod location services, you can just tap on the “Get Location” Button.
Tap on the “Done” button, when you have made your changes.
On the main view, tap on “Refresh” to update the display. Now you can see on the “radar screen” where and at which altitude the sun is supposed to be. In the litte red dot on the left, there is an inclinometer reading the inclination of the device. Just adust it to the same value as the altitude by tilting your Iphone/Ipod and you can see at what angle the sun will be at a given time.
If there is heading information available on your device (e.g. Iphone 3GS), a small red compass needle will help you in aligning the device.
HINT:
If you do not have a compass, there is still an easy way to find out which way is North. Just set the date & time to now. Then, look at the “radar screen” and point the little sun on the display towards the sun. The top of your Iphone /Ipod is now facing north. Easy, isn’t it ?
